We regret to inform you that as of this morning, Monday, March 9th, the AAAL Denver 2020 conference has been canceled due to concerns about COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
This unanimous decision was made by AAAL’s current Executive Committee in light of the developments over the last few days, including elevated warnings from the CDC and WHO, growing travel restrictions worldwide, and increasing numbers of requested cancellations from registered participants.
We are now in the process of evaluating and determining next steps, including policies and procedures with respect to registration. With a small staff, an all-volunteer conference team, and 1400 registered individuals, we ask for your patience as we work through these components.
We will reach out as soon as possible with as much information as possible in the days ahead regarding registration and hotel arrangements. Our priority now is communicating clearly and to all that the 2020 conference is canceled.
