Call for Proposals: Journal for the Psychology of Language Learning
We seek proposals that address a theme or topical area that will be of interest and relevance to the journal's international readership in individual differences and the psychology of language leaming. We are especially interested in special issue themes that highlight work in areas of inquiry, theoretical approaches, and methodological tools in individual differences and the psychology of language learning which are under-represented.
The proposal submitted should contextualize the topic, explain its significance, discuss existing problems and gaps. and identify the contributions of the proposed issue. A special issue may include any of the approved article types: research articles, theoretical articles, work-in-progress articles, replications, or book-reviews.
Special issue proposals are subject to approval from the joural editors and the editorial board. Guest editors will be responsible for inviting and selecting submissions, organizing the review process, and preparing the issue for publication,
etc.

2020 - The Psychology of Teaching and Learning in CLIL Contexts
2021 - Grit in Language Learning and Teaching
2022 - Taking Root: Establishing Self-determination Theory as a Fertile Framework
for the Psychology of Language Learning
Propsal Format
Proposals for a special issue should use the following format and timeframe:
- Outline the need and rationale for the special issue (750 - 1000 words)
- List out proposed authors, article abstracts (if available), and scope of the special issues
- Name(s) and bio statement of the guest editors (maximum 300 words per guest editor)

Important dates
1 October 2022: Proposal Due
30 November 2022: Proposal acceptance decision announced
