Transportation Options from AAAL 2003 to TESOL 2003 (Baltimore, MD)

Option 1 –Call Washington Sedan and Limo to arrange a limo, sedan or van from the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington directly to your hotel in Baltimore. Approximate price per vehicle is $80 plus gratuity. This is the fastest and easiest option. The price per person will be determined by the total number of people who choose this option, and this option must be arranged prior to March 1. To arrange this mode of transportation call (301) 220- 3294 or email washwebblimos@aol.com. Make sure you tell them you are with the AAAL group, arranging transportation for March 25th from the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington Virginia to hotels at various locations within the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore.

Option 2 – Make arrangements with Emmanuel’s Sedan and Limo Service to take a sedan or limo from the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington directly to your hotel in Baltimore. This company has 10 sedans that seat approximately four people each, one limo that seats six people, and two limos which will seat ten. The price per sedan is $75 plus gratuity. The price per limo is $120 plus gratuity. To make reservations call (703) 582-4243. This company requests that all reservations be made 48 hours ahead of time. This option is also direct and cost effective if the cost is split.

Option 3 – Call Red Top Cab Company and make arrangements to take a taxi from the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington directly to you hotel in Baltimore. The approximate price per taxi $90- $100 plus gratuity. This option is also direct and three or four people could split the cost. You can make arrangements from the Red Cab phone located in the lobby of the hotel.

Option 4 – By Rail (the most economical, but not the easiest or shortest mode of travel).

First Leg - Metro (approximate price $1.35)

• Take the hotel shuttle to the Crystal City or Pentagon City Metro
• Board the Blue Metro Line – toward Addison Rd
• Disembark at Metro Center
• Switch from Blue to Red Line – toward Glenmont
• Disembark at Union Station
• At Union Station, purchase ticket for MARC Camden Line from the Amtrak Sales Center (approximate price $5.75). Tickets can also be purchased ahead of time on line at www.mtamaryland.com.
  

Second Leg – MARC Camden Line (approximate price $5.75)

• Boarding from Gate A at Union Station (trains leave at: 6:40, 7:15, and 7:55pm)
• Disembark in downtown Baltimore: Baltimore Camden Station
• The Baltimore Convention Center is located approximately one block from Camden Station, and you can walk or take a taxi the short distance to your hotel.
